This seaside residence in Nakatsu City, Ōita Prefecture, was designed with a concept inspired by the refined, exceptional atmosphere of a luxury resort hotel. The building consists of two box-like volumes arranged diagonally beneath a large roof. At night, the lighting embedded in the floor highlights this bold structure, making its architectural form even more striking.

The space reveals completely different expressions during the day and at night. The combination of modern design and natural materials creates an environment that feels contemporary yet warm. Each area is loosely connected, allowing everyone in the home to share the same overall space at all times.
